For My Mom
What can I say about you
The love that I have for you
I could not put into words
The love I have is deep in my heart
I know that sometimes it is hard to part
I will do the best I can
But I'm only your little man
You're so special to me
Like only you can be
As I grow up we see less of each other
But in my heart you will always be my mother
When times get tough you're always there
Through the yelling, crying, fighting, and despair
But most of the time times are good
I know its hard going through motherhood
What we have together no one can take away
Your my mom from start to dying day
The memories I have for you are from the beginning
The love I have for you is never ending
So on this day I express my love
But just remember I will love you when we are in heaven above
I want you to know this always and forever
Your mom and I love you forever and ever

The Silence Will Remind
I had a dream
the morning you left
my imaginary lover held me close for comfort
against his warm chest
They had called to tell me
how quickly you were going
but I didn't hear in time
and I'm not sure you left really knowing
I'm not sure you left knowing
what everyone should know
how much I appreciated you
that I loved you, and would miss you so
I know that you're gone
and you're no longer in pain
but the fact that I couldn't get to you in time
remains the same
I am numb inside
so very much
I try to stay busy and not think of it
I go through each day numb to the touch
I plunder along
through each passing day
doing what needs to be done
and helping those who I may
I am aware at this very moment
there will come a time
when there is nothing left do be done
and the silence in the air, will be there to remind
That you are gone
and I did not get to say goodbye
then the pain will be too much to simply ignore
as the tears roll down and I hang my head to cry.
